The Trash Museum is located in Hartford, Connecticut, and its primary purpose is to educate people on the impacts of pollution. Visitors from around the world may tour 6,500 square feet of interactive exhibit space with a large focus on materials management. The Museum also offers programs to schools, businesses, scouts and public visitors both at the site and at outreach locations. Additionally, the museum includes a viewing area where visitors see a working recycling center.
The Trash Museum is an important educational tool to teach kids about recycling, but the poor branding and unappealing design of the space makes the museum an unexciting place to visit.
Redesign the Trash Museum to be a modern tourist attraction to create a memorable experience, inviting public speakers to educate the community about global warming and it’s impacts on our daily lives.
